I recently went up to CT to photograph the speakers at a TED conference, which centered around happiness. It of course made me VERY HAPPY. The good people at TED as well as the incredible creatives at AGENCY HEART are putting out a limited edition book of the portraits, as well as a recap of what was discussed & uncovered at the conference. The Observer hired me a little bit ago to shoot Jenna Lyons, the MEGASTAR Creative Director of J Crew - I mean, she turned that brand from pretty alright to superwattt chic must have. I went to Louisiana to photograph Eli, Jonah, Charlotte, and their mother Hillary of the Toucey family. This shot was for the May 7, 2012 issue of Newsweek which talks about the lack of government funding for the special-needs population and its affect on the parents.
