I keep passing the advertisements for the new season of Girls on HBO and am reminded of my portraits of Lena. I was honored to photograph the exuberant young star for Glamour’s 2012 Women of the Year issue. Lena has touched many people over her rise to fame, and I count myself as one of them. As an artist who strives to offer young people a platform from which to speak their point of view, I commend Lena for doing the same. She inspires many young women to be honest, engaged, and gentle on themselves and each other, all while fearlessly revealing herself. She deserves this wonderful award & I was so super proud to be a part of this issue.

Ok ok ok last one for a while - but I walked by ANOTHER poster for MIB III & remembered shooting Tommy Lee Jones  The Sunset Limited. Enjoyed it a lot - I shoot many young actors & actresses, but it’s really great to meet someone with years of experience & a breadth of talent. I mean, did you see No Country For Old Men? Beyond. But don’t get me wrong, MIB is hilarious!!

So much fun on this shoot, so much fun on every shoot really. Emilia was so funny & excited & the whole crew had a great time. Shooting in LA is always a pleasure, that sunshine!
